What is NDAA?
The necessity of NDAA-compliant products
NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) is a law that establishes U.S. defense policy and is also referred to as the "U.S. National Defense Authorization Act." It includes guidelines to strengthen national security and has provisions that restrict the purchase and use of communication and security equipment. In the United States, there is a growing movement to prohibit the introduction of Chinese-made security cameras. In the case of security and surveillance cameras, not only products manufactured by companies specified in the NDAA are restricted, but also internal components supplied by those specific companies. This is because there may be a future need in Japan to select and use equipment that complies with the NDAA.
